Lab 9
 Web Server Setup & Administration

For Lab 9, you'll use the Apachefriends.org XAMPP server package to set up a Windows Apache MySQL PHP server, administer the MySQL database, and set up an active PHP/MySQL Web page.

• Download and install the XAMPP server.
• Change the MySQL root password.
• Set up a MySQL database and user account for the Web project.
• Create the MySQL tables (using phpMyAdmin)
• Design the HTML page & forms
• Write the PHP code to display active content
• Write the PHP code to process the forms

This lab will be performed entirely in class, and graded on the computers in the lab.
